Leopard geckos, or eublephars, are easy-to-care-for yet docile lizards.

However, if this is your first lizard, then before purchasing a gecko you should familiarize yourself with the requirements for its maintenance.
Despite its rather modest size (the eublefar reaches 20-25 cm in length), it requires a fairly spacious home.
To make the lizard feel comfortable, it is recommended to choose a terrarium measuring 45x45x30 cm. It must be equipped with a lid, otherwise the active pet will quickly escape.
The main difficulty you will face is to provide the correct temperature conditions for the eublefar. A special thermal mat will help you with this.
The terrarium should have two zones: cool and warm. If the temperature in the first should not exceed 26 degrees above zero, then in the second it should be 28-33 degrees so that the pet warms up in it after eating.
