When getting a cat at home, many pet owners are guided by the fact that it requires less attention than a dog.
But is this really true?
We find out whether cats are really that independent and whether they can be left alone in an apartment for several days.
Let's start with the fact that the question of leaving an animal alone should not even be raised if we are talking about an old or sick cat. A pet with special needs always requires additional attention.
Let us remind you that our cats sleep from 13 to 18 hours a day, therefore, most of the whiskered ones will not notice your absence even for one day.
If we are talking about going out of town for the weekend, then most cats will also survive this period without any problems.
A week is an acceptable period, but it is a stretch, since you will have to carefully calculate the amount of food and water your pet needs so that the animal does not starve while you are away.
And we certainly can't talk about a trip to the sea that lasts 2-3 weeks. This is absolutely unacceptable!
For such a long period of time, you will need to either take your pet with you or think about who can look after it while you are away.
