There are strict requirements for garden furniture: it must withstand the rays of the scorching sun, heavy rains, be light, durable and easy to care for.

Furniture for summer cottages is made from a number of materials, each good in its own way.

Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, designer Yulia Tychino spoke about the most popular options.

Tree

This furniture combines strength and durability with the beauty that natural material can provide.

If the product is treated with a protective coating, it will last for quite a long time, and then it will be possible to restore and paint it.

But in addition to wooden furniture, you will have to buy soft pillows to make it more comfortable to sit on.

It is also worth buying furniture with rounded edges. Such options are less traumatic.

Plastic

There are many advantages - low price and minimal maintenance requirements. But plastic furniture is less durable than wood. And it is not so easy to repair, almost impossible.

On average, it lasts for several seasons.

Rattan

Another popular option. Wicker furniture in any case looks more expensive, more interesting and more beautiful.

There are two options - natural and artificial rattan. The first is more fragile. Natural material requires delicate care.

If you don't want to mess around with garden furniture, then artificial rattan is better. Such furniture can be left outside even in winter.

Metal

There are no questions about the durability of such furniture. But there are other nuances. Metal products can rust. Therefore, the furniture must be covered with a special powder paint.

Also, some options are heavy and cold. You will also have to buy additional cushions for the seats and backs.

Fabric and textiles

With such furniture any space becomes more comfortable. But of course it is better to place it under a canopy or in a gazebo.

It would also be a good idea to think about covers with water-repellent impregnation.

Earlier we talked about how to decorate a small children's room.
