Making pasta seems like a very simple task that anyone can do.
However, many people face the problem of not being able to drain the water and rinse the pasta properly.
Therefore, it is worth looking into one trick that can significantly speed up this process and make it more efficient.
Why can draining pasta be a problem? This is because the water and pasta are in the same sieve, and the pasta can clog the holes, making drainage difficult. Of course, a lot also depends on the type of pasta you choose.
The secret is to use a regular collander, or even just a regular lid, to help quickly drain the water from the pasta.
A person simply needs to place the collander on the pot so that its edges are partially inside the pot. Then, as water flows in, it will drain through the side holes of the collander, allowing the pasta to remain inside the pot.
This method has several advantages. First, it is much faster than the usual sieve drainage. Second, it avoids the loss of pasta that would spill out during normal drainage.
The principle of this trick is based on gravity. Water in a pan seeks the path of least resistance, and when part of the pan is occupied by the collander, it naturally begins to flow through its holes.
The only problem with this method is that you need to find a suitable device that can handle this task. If it does not fit tightly to the pan, then a good effect will not be achieved.
