Associate Professor Talks About Pension Supplements for One Category of Russians
In the Russian Federation, a new pension supplement will be introduced for citizens over 80 years of age and people with first-group disabilities.
This was reported by Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, Associate Professor of the Department of Human Resources Management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
She told the Prime agency that from January 1, 2025, the specified categories of citizens will be paid an additional 1.2 thousand rubles.
According to the adopted amendment, all pensioners will receive the additional payment automatically, regardless of whether they have a caregiver. There is no need to contact anyone about this issue.
In addition, pensioners who have reached 80 years of age will receive an additional payment of 16,269.75 rubles. It is also due to people with first-group disabilities.
Starting in January, there will be a recalculation of payments to working pensioners.
The amount of this additional payment is limited to three pension coefficients. It depends on the salary and the cost of the pension point in the year of retirement.
