IEF calls for complete departure from Western financial system
The Institute of Energy and Finance has spoken out about the use of Western payment systems.
The chief director for energy said that Russian foreign trade should become independent from Western financial systems.
Alexey Gromov made this comment in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
Journalists asked the expert about ways to mitigate the negative consequences of the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation.
As Gromov emphasized, he sees the solution in the creation of an independent financial and logistical circuit for Russian foreign trade.
Moreover, according to the expert, the main thing is to get ahead of new sanctions.
The following steps will help you with this:
- moving away from Western insurance systems;
- refusal to settle accounts in euros and dollars;
- transition to settlements in national currency.
One of the paths to independence is the creation of a BRICS payment system.
And when this becomes possible, no anti-Russian sanctions will be able to influence the Russian economy anymore, Gromov added in conclusion.
