Companies such as Wimm-Bill-Dann, Ekomilk and others have reduced the prices of their products.
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office initiated an investigation after it saw no objective reasons for the increase in the cost of dairy products.
Prices have returned to their previous levels, department representatives stated.
The audit confirmed that prices were raised without objective economic justification, the Prosecutor General’s Office concluded.
