Siluanov: Budget for 2025 will be tough
The Minister of Finance told what the budget will be like for the coming year.
According to Anton Siluanov, the Ministry of Finance had to work it out in detail.
The head of the Ministry of Finance spoke about this during the VTB investment forum “Russia Calling”, RIA Novosti reports.
As Siluanov emphasized, the main task his department worked on was inflation. That is why it was necessary to take into account all the nuances when planning the budget.
The Minister of Finance recalled that the Central Bank has been fighting inflation for quite a long period of time, systematically tightening monetary policy.
At the same time, if we talk about the budget, then raising the rate is a costly step. Nevertheless, it is necessary to fulfill the main task of reducing the rate of inflation.
Without this step it is impossible to reduce the cost of money in a way that would be beneficial to all segments of the population.
In addition, the budget had to take into account the deficit in terms of GDP and the fact that it was balanced at the primary level.
