State Duma deputies wanted to personally influence the dismissal of the head of the Central Bank
Deputies have proposed a bill that would allow them to appeal to the Russian president with a proposal to remove the head of the Central Bank from office early.
The initiators were members of the party "A Just Russia - For Truth".
Parliamentarians have prepared a corresponding bill, which is posted on the Duma database website .
The authors of the initiative want to gain the right to directly appeal to the Russian leader with a request to dismiss the chairman of the Central Bank.
But only if this proposal is supported by at least 90 deputies. There are 450 of them in the lower house of parliament.
That is, Sergei Mironov’s party wants to influence the dismissal of the head of the Central Bank if at least 20% of the deputy corps wants it.
Today, the head of the Bank of Russia is Elvira Nabiullina. She has held this post since 2013.
On December 20, the Central Bank will consider the issue of the key rate, which currently stands at 21%. Experts expect the indicator to increase to 22–24%.
