Transfers to accounts that have previously been the subject of fraudulent transactions will be suspended, the Central Bank warned.

The total list of such operations has been doubled – to 6 items.

The regulator's website emphasized that the measure is aimed at preventing fraudulent transfers.

The corresponding order of the Central Bank comes into force on July 25 of this year.

On the same day, a law on new mechanisms for combating suspicious transactions using these signs will come into force.

The transfer will be rejected even if the client who has previously suffered from the actions of fraudsters has not contacted the bank, and the accounts of the fraudsters have not been entered into the Bank of Russia database.

Another sign was information about the initiation of a criminal case against the recipient of funds. The bank can obtain information about this through any channels.

In addition, from July 25, banks will be required to take into account information provided by third-party organizations indicating fraud.

For example, such information may be provided by a mobile operator that has recorded unusual telephone activity for the client or an increase in incoming SMS messages from unknown numbers, including instant messengers.
