Zakharova Reveals Why the EU Recommended Suspending Oil Transit
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry spoke about the new recommendation received from the European Union.
According to Maria Zakharova, this fact indicates the West’s desire to make the EU dependent on US energy resources.
The official representative of the department made this comment on Sunday, RIA Novosti reports.
We are talking about a recommendation that the European Union authorities sent to the Kyiv authorities. It expresses the conviction that the Ukrainian authorities should not continue to carry out the transit of Russian oil.
It is noted that Brussels is primarily behind the suspension. However, Zakharova did not rule out that Washington prompted Brussels to take this step.
And all this was done so that the EU would become completely dependent on American resources while rejecting Russian ones.
Such a step will allow Washington to ensure easier political control over the European Union, as well as economic bonuses from this.
Zakharova stressed that this is one of the reasons why the US is so displeased with the long-term contracts concluded between Russia and the EU.
