Soil deoxidation

Eggshells can be crushed and added during digging. Or they can become one of the components of humus.

You can add eggshells to fresh mullein, sawdust, and leaves. It will reduce the acidity of the humus.

Pest protection

This inedible residue is very popular in the fight against snails and slugs.

Scatter crushed shells around the perimeter of the bed or tree trunk circle. Soft-bodied insects will not be able to overcome the prickly barrier.

Mulch

It is unlikely that you will be able to cover the entire garden, but it is quite enough for a small bed. To increase the volume of mulch, the shells can be mixed with other material.
