Grandfather's secret: Colorado beetles won't even fly within a meter of your potatoes
The Colorado potato beetle is rightfully considered one of the most dangerous pests in the garden.
However, there are ways to prevent the pest from even flying near your plantings.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, we learn how to prepare a miracle decoction that will repel the Colorado potato beetle from your potatoes.
One ingredient against pests
A traditional folk remedy based on celandine will help to repel the Colorado potato beetle from your plants.
This plant has a strong smell and is therefore very disliked by insects.
Please note: you will need a lot of celandine. To prepare the decoction, you will need 200-300 grams of stems of this plant per 1 liter of water.
Celandine is placed in a saucepan, filled with water and boiled for about 15 minutes.
The finished decoction must be filtered and then diluted with water in a proportion of 200-300 grams of celandine per 10 liters.
All that remains to be done to protect the plants is to spray them with the resulting solution.
