How to prune a money tree: a reminder on how to properly care for a fat tree in October

The fat woman is a favorite plant among many Russians, and can be found on almost every windowsill.
However, not all people know how to properly prune the money tree, which is also called crassula.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, we figure out how to do this.
How to prune a money tree correctly
Let's start with the fact that there are several types of plant pruning:
- sanitary - removal of damaged parts of the money tree;
- formative - formation of a certain shape of the plant crown;
- supporting - a procedure for maintaining a previously set form.
Pruning of the fat plant is carried out twice a year: before the onset of the dormant period, and also in the spring.
Autumn processing of crassula includes removing dying shoots and getting rid of dried leaves. This is necessary so that excess elements do not deplete the plant in winter.
