It is worth considering that the tree can grow very large over time. As a result, various pests and diseases can multiply in the thicket.
Therefore, the first thing to do is to remove all damaged and diseased branches.
It is advisable to trim the shoots on the trunk that are located below the first tier of the crown.
In addition, extra branches between the tiers should also be removed. Branches that thicken the crown should also be trimmed.
It is also important to choose the right time for pruning. This should be done when the buds have already begun to "wake up", but have not yet started to grow.
In addition, the plant must be trimmed and replanted before the sap starts to flow.
In spring, do not forget about fertilizing trees. For this, you can use various fertilizers.
Just take into account the age of the tree. For young seedlings, it is better to choose organic fertilizers.
If the tree is more than four years old, you can feed it with minerals.
If the spring is quite dry, the trees need to be watered generously at least once a week. This is especially important during the flowering period.
