What plants should not be planted

When planting plants next to thuja, you need to take into account their requirements for soil condition, amount of light and watering.

It is also advisable to avoid the proximity of plants that have a highly branched root system.

It is better not to plant some shrubs near thujas. In particular, this concerns gooseberries, raspberries and currants.

After all, such a neighborhood can lead to a deterioration in their yield.

Birches should not be planted near thuja. Otherwise, these trees will draw all the necessary substances from the soil, greatly depleting it.

In addition, plants that are susceptible to similar pests and diseases should not grow near the thuja.

What can be planted

You can plant various perennial flowers near the thujas. They will not only become good neighbors, but will also create a bright and unusual composition.

You can plant daffodils, hyacinths, delphiniums and chrysanthemums.

Herbaceous plants get along well with thujas. These can be ferns and alchemillas.

Planting of some other coniferous plants is also permitted.
