Potatoes are not just a vegetable, they are a real treasure that most people dig up without even suspecting its capabilities.

Usually 5-7 tubers are collected from a bush, but what if there are 20 or 30?

Yes, it is possible, and it does not require any special varieties or tons of fertilizers. All that is required is to stop planting potatoes like everyone else.

Instead of burying the tubers in holes, try… putting them on the ground. Yes, just spread the sprouted potatoes on the surface of the bed and cover with a 20-30 cm layer of straw.

As shoots begin to emerge, add more straw. This method, known as “growing under mulch,” not only protects against the Colorado potato beetle and weeds, but also creates ideal conditions for tuber formation.

They form not only on the roots, but also on the stems, sprinkled with straw. As a result, each bush produces 3-4 times more potatoes than with traditional planting.

And this crop is also easy to harvest - just rake away the straw with your hands!
