Many summer residents are probably interested in the question: why do cucumber leaves turn yellow?

Usually, the reason for yellow leaves is a lack of moisture. Cucumber, like other fruit plants, requires a large amount of moisture, regular watering.

Yellowing leaves are the result of the plant's roots sucking magnesium from the stems in an attempt to conserve water.

This does not mean that you need to water the fruits too often. The optimal option for watering cucumbers is watering twice a week with 20-25 liters per plant.

To avoid excess or lack of moisture, it is enough to take a little soil from a depth of fifteen centimeters and squeeze it in your hand.

If the soil is too dry, then there is not enough water for the plant, and if it is too wet, then watering should be reduced.

But what to do if watering meets the plant’s requirements, but the disease does not go away?

This may be due to the fact that the summer resident did not choose the right plot. The rotation of crops on the plot should be established, and for cucumbers it is worth choosing places where the sun is not too hot at its peak.

If cucumbers are grown in greenhouses, the air temperature there may be too high, which also affects the yellowness of the leaf. In this case, it is necessary to establish fresh air circulation.

It is also recommended to treat the roots from bacteria (most often fungal) before planting.

Yellow spots on leaves can be caused by various microorganisms living in the soil.

Special agents create a shell on the roots and stems, protecting plants from invaders.
