When the potato harvest comes to an end, many gardeners begin to look at what can be planted after this crop.
There are a number of specific garden plants that, if planted after potatoes, can produce a very high-quality harvest.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh gave an example of such plants.
According to the expert, winter vegetables, which include onions, garlic and parsley, should be planted first in the potato bed.
In addition, perennials grow well after potatoes. These include berry, vegetable or ornamental plants.
If potatoes have "worn out" the soil too much, you should plant green manure in its place. This way you will be able to increase the fertility of the soil.
Important note: planting of the above crops can be done in August.
Before this process, it is recommended to carefully prepare the soil in order to improve the quality of the future harvest.
