Before planting tomato seedlings, you can add mineral or organic fertilizer to the hole.

This must be done if no fertilizers have been added to the soil since autumn.

Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what can be thrown into a hole for tomatoes.

Mineral fertilizers

When planting, it is permissible to add any complex mineral fertilizer that is specifically designed for tomatoes.

Alternatively, you can use superphosphate - 1 tablespoon per hole.

In addition, a week before planting the seedlings, it is worth preparing a solution of "Fitosporin" (5 g per 10 l of water). It is necessary to water the prepared holes with it.

Organic fertilizers

From natural remedies, you can choose an infusion of bird droppings (1:20). Dosage - 500 ml per hole. Added 7 days before planting.

Also, during planting, you can throw in about 200 g of rotted manure. In no case should you use fresh manure, because the roots of the plants will get burned.

An alternative could be mature compost – 200 g per hole. It and manure should be mixed with the soil.

Previously, we talked about what you need to plant next to tomatoes to forget about pests and increase yields.
