It has become known how the BBC dealt with the former presenter, accused of creating indecent content with children.

The company continued to pay the former announcer royalties.

TheTelegraph learned about this. As specified in the publication, Huw Edwards, who is involved in the case of indecent photographs of children, received about 200 thousand pounds sterling from the BBC.

At the same time, the company was aware that criminal proceedings were being carried out against its former employee.

As the article emphasized, the company now faces questioning due to the fact that it was aware of the proceedings, but continued to pay the suspect fees anyway.

The newscaster was arrested in 2023 after it was discovered he had paid a teenager money for indecent photographs.

Edwards himself resigned in April and received a fee for his work until his resignation, when he was already under arrest.

He was charged in June 2024 and the final verdict will be announced in September.
