According to the agency, the Bolivian justice system has begun a trial against Evo Morales for events that took place eight years ago.
As the investigation revealed, during the time when the politician was in power, he took advantage of his position as president of the country and created an organization called “Generation Evo”.
The youth group included teenagers, including a girl of 15 or 16 years old, against whom, according to investigators, Morales committed sexual acts of a violent nature.
As a result, the victim became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, whose father is listed as Evo Morales.
The politician, who intends to run for president next year, responded to the accusations on the social network X. He linked the criminal prosecution to his political activities, but did not comment on the charges brought against him.
