New details have become known about Google's lawsuit filed against several Russian TV channels.

Today, the case began to be heard in court in the United States.

The Vedomosti portal learned about this. As noted in the publication, the hearings begin on August 28 in the California State District Court.

Let us recall that Google filed lawsuits against the Russia Today (RT), Spas and Tsargrad TV channels. The company intends to obtain a ban on claims being brought against it outside the US and UK.

The YouTube channels of these organizations were blocked on the video hosting site back in 2022. Moreover, the blocking affected dozens of other resources, including RIA Novosti, Sputnik, Channel One and other organizations.

Google's disagreement is related to statements by Russian TV channels about recognizing and enforcing the relevant decisions of Russian courts in foreign jurisdictions. In particular, this may be about the fine of 1 billion rubles collected from the corporation, which was won by the Tsargrad TV channel.
