New footage has emerged of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack that caused the collapse of the Twin Towers in the United States.
Japanese photographer Kei Sugimoto captured the moment the two towers of the World Trade Center collapsed during the terrorist attack.
He posted a video shot with a professional camera, which shows in detail how the collapse of these buildings took place.
The footage was taken from the roof of one of the houses using a Sony VX2000 camera with a teleconverter, the photographer said.
Kei Sugimoto posted the video he shot on YouTube and asked that the footage be used only for "historical archival purposes."
On September 11, 2001, suicide bombers hijacked four passenger planes in the United States.
They planned to aim them at the World Trade Center towers, the White House or the Capitol, and the Pentagon.
The attacks killed 2,977 people, including citizens of the United States and 92 countries.
