Mongolia reports high risk of plague infection in 15 regions

Plague is a disease transmitted by rodents.

In this case, we are talking about a high risk of contracting the plague in one of the countries.

After the Naadam festival, there is a high risk of contracting the bubonic plague, TASS reports, citing the Mongolian Ministry of Health.

It is noted that there is a risk of infection in 81 regions of Mongolia.

Given the current situation, the ministry recommends that people not touch dead marmots and not allow children to spend time near marmot holes.

In addition, people are urged to stop hunting tarbagans with traps and dogs. Citizens are also advised not to eat their meat or use their skins.

It is added that if dead marmots are found, a medical facility must be informed.
