An underage Russian tourist suffered leg injuries after being hit by a boat's propeller.
The girl was swimming outside the designated area on Patong Beach and was injured by a boat propeller.
Local officials have confirmed that a 17-year-old Russian tourist was injured in a collision with a boat while swimming outside the swimming area, The Bangkok Post reports.
Police and rescue workers helped an injured tourist at a beach on Taweewong Road.
As a result of the collision with the boat, the girl received injuries to the upper part of her right leg and right foot.
The victim was given assistance and hospitalized.
Police said the girl accidentally dove under the buoys while swimming.
Shortly after, she was hit by the propeller of a boat that was passing through the area.
