An incident occurred in Phuket that was discussed on social networks the day before.

There were reports of a "Russian berserker" who started a conflict in a hotel and was barely subdued by local law enforcement officers.

Now details have emerged, writes the Bangkok Post .

The rowdy tourist spoke Russian, so he was mistaken for a Russian citizen. But the offender was taken to a pretrial detention center, his documents were checked, and it turned out that he was Belarusian.

Video footage of the man went viral on the Internet. The tourist, wearing only his underwear, attacked police officers, while his wife and three children stood nearby, trying to calm the enraged man down.

Even seven police officers couldn't handle this "berserker". He was also nicknamed "skuf" on social media.

As the media found out, 39-year-old Sergei A. lost control of himself due to severe alcohol intoxication.

He was placed in a pretrial detention center in Phuket, where he awaits a court hearing. The tourist's family flew home, and he himself faces deportation and, probably, a fine.
