The American company Ocean Infinity has volunteered to help search for the Malaysia Airlines Boeing that went missing in 2014, The Star reports.
The company's representatives studied a lot of information and prepared their own analysis regarding the missing plane, which had 239 people on board, including the crew.
While investigating the matter, Ocean Infinity found a "solid lead" in the case.
This information was confirmed by Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
He and his assistants studied the documents presented and came to the conclusion that Ocean Infinity could shed light on the fate of the infamous flight.
Experts are confident that the search should be in the southern part of the Indian Ocean.
We are talking about a zone with an area of 15 thousand square kilometers, which is comparable to the size of Montenegro.
The company plans to sign a contract with the Malaysian government for a period of one and a half years. The Cabinet will make a decision in early 2025.
If Ocean Infinity finds traces of the missing plane, the company will receive $70 million (RUB 7.2 billion).
If nothing works out, the work will not be paid. "No find - no money" - this is the categorical motto that the company itself adheres to.
