One of the prisoners set up an underground "casino" on the territory of the correctional facility.

FSB officers, in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation for the region, stopped an active prisoner who organized gambling in IK-14 (Novocherkassk), TASS reports.
The defendant kept records of the people who took part in the games, recorded the results, and twice a month transferred funds to bank accounts.
Playing cards and chips, a telephone, SIM cards and a number of other pieces of evidence were confiscated from the organizer of the underground prison "casino". A criminal case was opened against the defendant.
If he is found guilty, he will be sentenced to the sentence he already has for illegally organizing and conducting gambling.
The attention of Russian security forces is focused on the colonies after the incident in IK-19 in the Volgograd region.
Here, on August 23, prisoners took other convicts and correctional facility employees hostage. A similar incident had previously occurred in the Rostov Region.
