A criminal case was opened against the man under the article on cruel treatment of animals, which was carried out in a sadistic manner.
The state prosecutor proposed sentencing the accused to one year of correctional labor, and the court upheld this decision.
Part of the convicted person's salary will also be withheld in favor of the state during the period he serves his sentence.
Details of the incident
As the investigation revealed, the incident with the tortured dog occurred in February 2024.
A 37-year-old man caught a stray dog in the village of Borovlyana in the Nolinsky district. After that, the defendant tied the animal to his snowmobile and dragged it through the snow.
Unfortunately, the dog died as a result of the Kirov resident’s abusive actions.
