A tourist from Rostov-on-Don injured his leg on Mount Kazbek. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for North Ossetia.
It is noted that the report of the incident was received at night.
According to the department, the tourist injured his leg at an altitude of approximately 3.7 thousand meters.
They also clarified that the victim was a man born in 1989.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that six rescuers will soon come to the tourist's aid. They have already left the scene.
It is added that the victim will be rescued using a helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. After the rescuers arrive, he will be evacuated.
