Airborne Brigade Commander Gorodilov pleaded not guilty to fraud: he was placed under arrest
The court chose a preventive measure for 37-year-old Colonel Artem Gorodilov.
The commander of the 83rd separate guards airborne assault brigade of the Order of Suvorov was sent into custody until August 19.
Gorodilov is accused of fraud. The exact amount of damage has not yet been named.
But we are talking about a particularly large amount. This category includes thefts in the amount of 1 million rubles.
After the measure of restraint was chosen, journalists asked the colonel whether he admitted guilt, RIA Novosti reports. He answered briefly: "No."
The 235th Garrison Military Court (Moscow) chose a preventive measure for him.
The officer is suspected of committing a crime under an article that carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
Meanwhile, an investigation into the case of General Ivan Popov is underway.
Earlier it became known that Popov had been charged with forgery.
