Mattel faces class action lawsuit after accidentally placing a link to a porn site on merchandise for the movie "Wicked."
A link to a porn site was mistakenly placed on the packaging of a collectible series of Barbie dolls.
Plaintiff Holly Ricketson of South Carolina, whose daughter clicked on a link to a site with nude people, is seeking unspecified damages, TMZ reports.
The plaintiff's minor daughter immediately showed photographs of her mother.
She stated that she would never have purchased the product if she had known about such an unacceptable defect.
A girl was redirected to an adult entertainment company's website because of a typo on the packaging of a doll for a musical.
In addition, the lawsuit emphasizes that Mattel did not offer any refunds to consumers who had already purchased Barbie dolls.
The brand said in a statement to consumers that it regretted the error and had taken action.
