Emergencies Ministry: Death toll from Dagestan gas station explosion rises to 11

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the death toll from the explosion at the gas station in Makhachkala has increased to 11 people.

It is reported that September 28 has been officially declared a day of mourning in the region.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry writes on its official Telegram channel: "Another person was pulled out from under the rubble. He died as a result of the explosion at the gas station."

At present, government bodies are taking all necessary measures to provide support to the families of the deceased and injured citizens.

It is reported that the incident was recorded on the federal highway in the Karabudakhkent region.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene quickly localized the fire. However, the gas station building was completely destroyed.

The head of the Dagestan government, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, subsequently stressed the importance of observing safety measures at petrol stations.
