In Omsk region, a woman stabbed a man to death in revenge for her cohabitant
A murder motivated by revenge occurred in the Omsk region.
A woman attacked a man with a knife, taking revenge for her own partner.
The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Omsk Oblast reported this on its official website .
The 30-year-old defendant was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 9 years in prison in a general regime penal colony.
The convicted woman will also be required to pay 1 million rubles in compensation for moral damages to the victim’s relatives.
Circumstances of the case
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on May 10, 2024 in the village of Tsvetochnoye.
A stabbing occurred in the courtyard of a private home. A previously convicted man stabbed the 44-year-old cohabitant of the defendant in the case.
Wanting to avenge her partner, the 30-year-old woman grabbed the knife herself and stabbed the victim in the chest.
The man was hospitalized and given all the necessary medical assistance, but to no avail: he subsequently died a few hours later.
