Khakassia resident faces jail time for using slave labor on farm

It is noted that the accused is currently in custody, but he has not admitted his guilt.
A criminal case has been opened against him under articles on slave labor, torture, kidnapping, illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
Circumstances of the case
As the investigation found out, from 2018 to 2023, the accused was the head of a peasant farm.
The man would look for people leading an asocial lifestyle to work at his enterprise, after which he would take away their documents and force them to work 16 hours a day.
It is noted that during the illegal detention, torture was used, including beatings and locking in a cellar.
The victims repeatedly tried to escape from the unbearable working and housing conditions, but after each escape attempt, the farmer returned the people back.
