Krasnoyarsk resident sentenced for torturing six-year-old daughter
The trial of a local resident has ended in Krasnoyarsk.
In 2022, a woman systematically beat and abused her own daughter.
The end of the trial and the sentencing were announced by the Main Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia on its Telegram channel.
The 40-year-old defendant was found guilty on two counts:
- failure to fulfill parental responsibilities;
- torture of a minor.
The woman received a suspended sentence of 3 years and 1 month.
Circumstances of the case
As the investigation revealed, the child abuse took place in 2022.
News of the abuse came after a neighbor of the family contacted the police after repeatedly hearing screams from behind the wall.
According to law enforcement officials, the convicted woman was irritated by the behavior of her six-year-old daughter.
In connection with this, the woman often vented her dissatisfaction and physically punished the child, in particular, she beat the girl with a rolling pin and a wire, and also rubbed salt into her fresh wounds.
