Oncologist from Tula gave false diagnoses to patients for a bonus

A Tula oncologist has come up with a scheme to profit from his patients.

The doctor allegedly detected cancer at an early stage, although in fact the patients were healthy.

The criminal case against the unscrupulous doctor was sent to court, the press service of the Tula Region Prosecutor's Office reports.

The former oncologist is accused of fraud, and his accounts and personal car have been seized.

Circumstances of the case

As the investigation revealed, the oncologist acted out of selfish motives when he gave his patients a knowingly false diagnosis.

The 35-year-old doctor knew that specialists were entitled to a bonus for detecting cancer at an early stage. In connection with this, he told 13 of his patients that they were sick, but in fact, they were not provided medical care.

For his illegal actions, the former oncologist received a reward of 39 thousand rubles from the regional budget.

It is noted that the defendant in the case does not admit his guilt in the crime with which he is accused.
