Russian Man Burns Down House with His Wife to Make New Home
Near Ufa, a man wanted new housing and burned down his house along with his wife.
Details were reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Bashkiria.
A resident of the village of Fedorovka decided to become the owner of a new home, having been included in the list of those in need. But the Russian and his wife already had a house.
In January 2023, the couple were at home drinking alcohol.
Then the man came up with an idea: to burn down the old house and get new real estate from the administration.
He immediately proceeded to implement the plan, but did not notify his wife about it.
The woman had a chronic musculoskeletal disorder. She limped and used a cane to walk short distances.
The attacker knew all this, but poured alcohol on old clothes and set them on fire.
The flames quickly engulfed the house. The woman did not have time to escape and died.
A resident of Bashkiria was tried. He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in a maximum security penal colony.
