Suspect in brutal murder of pensioners detained in Nizhny Novgorod region
An incident involving the murder of two elderly people occurred in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The 29-year-old man suspected of the crime has already been detained.
The Nizhny Novgorod department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported the incident on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that the investigators were able to competently coordinate their actions. Thanks to this, the suspect in the crime was detained hot on the heels.
The detainee has not yet been presented with a charge; law enforcement officers are continuing to reconstruct the events.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the murder of two or more persons.
Circumstances of the case
The murder of two pensioners became known the day before, on the evening of December 4.
The bodies of two pensioners, aged 78 and 77, with signs of violent death were found in one of the apartments in Nizhny Novgorod.
Both murders were committed with particular cruelty. Several stab wounds were found on the man's body, and the woman's head was cut off.
