In the Omsk region, a man beat, tied up and threw an elderly pensioner into a cellar.

This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Omsk Region.

Details of the incident

The victim's daughter contacted law enforcement officers with a statement about her mother's disappearance.

She reported that the 72-year-old pensioner had not been in touch for several days.

During an inspection of a private home, police officers discovered a missing woman in the cellar.

She was tied up and unconscious.

The elderly woman lay for more than a week without food or water in a semi-closed cellar.

She was hospitalized with signs of severe dehydration and hypothermia.

The police suspected and detained a 41-year-old acquaintance of the victim in Omsk.

An investigation is currently underway.
