It seems that old grease on the stove is impossible to wash off without caustic agents.
Forget about it, because regular baking soda and sparkling water are your new secret to cleanliness.
Sprinkle soda on the dirty areas, lightly spray them with soda (even cheap mineral water will do) and wait 5-7 minutes. The gas bubbles will “loosen” the carbon deposits, and the soda will absorb the grease, then wipe the surface with a damp sponge.
For particularly tough stains, add a little liquid soap to the baking soda and water paste. This method works thanks to the alkaline properties of baking soda, which break down fats, and the carbon dioxide in the soda speeds up the reaction. No scratches, toxic fumes, or overpaying for specialized products.
If grease has hardened on the grates or removable parts of the stove, soak them in a sink with hot water, adding 2-3 tablespoons of soda. After 20 minutes, the dirt will come off on its own.
For enamel surfaces, use a soft cloth instead of a sponge to avoid damaging the coating.
If you don’t have any soda on hand, mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide – this will create foam that will “push” dirt out of the cracks. After cleaning, wipe the stove with a solution of vinegar (1:1 with water) to remove any baking soda residue and add shine.
To prevent grease from accumulating, wipe the stove with a damp cloth with a drop of dishwashing liquid after each cooking session. And for prevention, apply a paste of soda and water to the cold surface once a month, leave for 10 minutes and rinse.
For glass ceramic hobs, use a special scraper with a plastic blade to avoid scratches.
If fat gets on the oven, sprinkle soda on the bottom, add a little water, turn on the heat to 100°C for 20 minutes - the dirt will soften.
For gas burners, remove the lids and boil them in a saucepan with soda and citric acid (1 tablespoon each).
To restore shine to chrome parts, wipe them with a cloth soaked in olive oil.
If the stove is very dirty, make a “mask” of baking soda, water and a few drops of tea tree essential oil - this will disinfect the surface.
