It often happens that faux fur, taken from the depths of the closet, turns out to be matted and tangled.
However, this is not a reason to write it off: there is a fairly simple and reliable way to return it to a presentable appearance.
Let's figure out what needs to be done to bring faux fur back to life.
First, you will need a special comb. We are talking about a slicker brush, which is used to comb pets.
However, if you are concerned that its sharp teeth will damage the underside of the fur, you can choose a comb for cats and dogs, the ends of which are rounded. It copes with fur no worse than a slicker brush.
Once you have acquired this item, start combing the fur. Keep in mind that it gets tangled not only at the ends, but also at the base of the pile.
After combing the fur to the base in one direction, repeat the procedure in the other.
If the pile has creases, they can be straightened using steam. Just remember that you cannot iron faux fur.
