Everyone has experienced the stench coming from shoes they've worn all day.

And it’s not about our neatness, but about the fact that there are a huge number of sweat glands on our feet.

Although sweat itself has no odor, it is an ideal place for the development of bacteria, which become the source of “aromas”.

Let's figure out what simple ways there are to prevent this.

How to get rid of the stench

Soda is a universal powder that you can’t do without in the kitchen, and it will help get rid of odors.

To do this, you should proceed as follows:

  • mix baking soda and cornstarch in equal proportions;
  • pour the mixture into two cotton socks;
  • Place inside shoes for at least overnight.

Repeat the procedure at least once a month.

Another universal remedy is vinegar. Mix water and acid together in equal proportions and apply the solution inside the shoes after each trip outside.

Don't forget that after using vinegar, shoes should be thoroughly aired.

Another option is to use essential oils of tea tree, clove and cedar, which have antifungal properties.

Simply mix a few drops with water and spray the inside of your shoes or apply the solution to cotton balls and leave them inside your shoes overnight.
