In some cases, rust appears on the lids of canned goods.

There are several reasons for this, but there is one universal method that will help avoid it.

To do this, you just need to use vegetable oil.

It may not be very aesthetically pleasing, but it really works.

You just need to periodically lubricate the lids with oil, and they will not rust.

If the lid is already rusty, you can clean it with baking soda.

You need to dilute it with water to a paste-like consistency and apply it to the lid for half an hour.

After this, all that remains is to wipe it with a stiff brush or a ball of aluminum foil.

But the products that were stored under a rusty lid are no longer fit for consumption.

We are talking about those cases when the defect appears on the inside of the product. In this situation, it is better not to risk your health.

The taste and smell of the canned food will be spoiled, so it would be better to throw it away.
