How do we use toothpaste?
The question is, one might say, a bit unusual - of course, for its intended purpose, that is, we brush our teeth with it. Can toothpaste really only be used for its intended purpose?
But it turns out that no - toothpaste can be used for completely different purposes, which, unfortunately, few people know about.
In this regard, it makes sense to talk about this in more detail - in this article we will look at some unusual and sometimes even surprising ways of using toothpaste.
So, let's begin. First of all, never forget that any toothpaste, even the cheapest one, has an antiseptic effect.
Therefore, for example, if you suddenly get a sore throat, for example, while traveling, you can easily dilute a small amount of toothpaste in boiled water and rinse your throat with this solution.
By the way, this solution can also help you if you have inflammation in your mouth.
Toothpaste will not only help you cure a sore throat and inflammation in your mouth, but it will also eliminate acne, especially if it appears on your shoulders or back.
Toothpaste should be applied locally to the pimple, preferably at night. This method can also be used to combat pimples on the face, although in this case, using toothpaste, as practice shows, is less effective.
Many of us get herpes rashes on our lips when we have a cold. In this case, you can also try to deal with them using toothpaste - thanks to its antiseptic and drying properties, herpes rashes go away much faster. A crust forms on them faster, and new rashes no longer appear.
Many housewives working in the kitchen know how difficult it can be to get rid of persistent hand odor, especially if they had to cut strong-smelling products - for example, onions, garlic or fish. And dishes, especially from fish, also quickly acquire a persistent and unpleasant odor, which is difficult to remove with household chemicals.
And here again, the most ordinary toothpaste can come to the rescue - just take a small amount of it and rub it between your hands, and then rinse with water.
After this, the smell will disappear. If you need to remove the smell from the dishes, just wash them with water with toothpaste dissolved in it.
Cast iron cookware is quite difficult to clean from scale, rust or carbon deposits. It turns out that for this purpose you can use not only special means, but also any toothpaste, also as a cleaning agent.
Dark spots on light leather or leatherette can be removed using toothpaste.
Take an old toothbrush, apply a small amount of toothpaste to it and gently rub the stains on the leather or leatherette.
After this, wipe the problem areas on the item from which you removed the stains, first with a damp cloth and then with a dry cloth. As a rule, the stains disappear immediately or become less noticeable.
Perhaps someone knows a method of cleaning gold jewelry using toothpaste. But, nevertheless, we will tell you about it in more detail.
To do this, take a little toothpaste, rub it into the gold item with a napkin, and then wipe it with a dry napkin. But remember that this method cannot be used for items with pearls - toothpaste can damage its surface.
Not all housewives know that toothpaste can also be used to clean glass and mirrors.
There are options here - toothpaste can be diluted in water or used in its usual form.
By the way, if you clean the mirror in the bathroom with toothpaste, it will fog up less.
To make this happen, wipe the mirror with a cloth soaked in toothpaste, and then remove it from the mirror with paper or a dry napkin.
And one more, last way of unusual use of toothpaste. You probably never guessed that toothpaste can be an air freshener in the toilet?
It turns out it can - to do this, take a closed tube of toothpaste, make several punctures in it with a needle and lower it into the drain tank of your toilet.
There are many advantages to such a toilet air freshener - it is inexpensive and does not run out for a very long time. As you can see, there are only advantages here.
