Defendants in the case of the theft of 200 million rubles on the Pushkin Card received prison terms
It has become known what punishment the criminals received for the fraud with the “Pushkin Card”.
All defendants in the case received sentences ranging from 4 to 6 years.
This was reported by a TASS agency correspondent who was in the Basmanny Courtroom of Moscow.
All three Yakubov, Safonov and Gubanov were found guilty of fraud on an especially large scale and received sentences of 4 to 6 years in a general regime penal colony.
Circumstances of the case
According to the investigation materials, three defendants developed a complex stage for the theft of funds allocated within the framework of the Pushkin Card project.
The accomplices registered on the platform “PRO.Kultura RF” as a cultural organization and began to conclude contracts with artists.
After this, the scammers began to look for people with unused limits on the Pushkin Card and persuaded them to buy tickets to non-existent events, and their volume significantly exceeded the capacity of the venues.
In total, the criminal scheme that was implemented allowed the defendants in the case to steal approximately 205 million rubles.
