A Moscow resident received a call from scammers who did not resort to clever schemes.

They immediately began threatening her with violence, the Moscow prosecutor's office reported on its Telegram channel.

A 79-year-old resident of the capital encountered scammers. They called her for about four months and threatened to kill her.

The intimidated Russian woman withdrew all the money from her accounts and the accounts of her disabled sister, which she managed under power of attorney, and transferred the funds to criminals.

In total, the scammers received 5.8 million rubles, but they did not stop there.

They continued to call the woman and threaten to find and kill her.

Now the criminals demanded that she enter into a life annuity agreement with them, with the transfer of ownership rights to the apartments belonging to her and her sister.

In addition, the scammers convinced the Muscovite to sell another apartment and transfer all proceeds to them via a courier.

The total amount of damage was over 30 million rubles. A criminal case has been opened. The perpetrators are being sought.
