The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced new sanctions against seven US military-industrial enterprises.

The reason for the introduction of restrictions was the supply of weapons to Taiwan.

The Chinese department indicated that the sanctions were imposed against the backdrop of the US providing a large volume of military aid and weapons to Taiwan, RIA Novosti reports.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that the US actions violate the “one China” principle and three joint Chinese-American communiqués.

The Chinese ministry criticized Washington for attempting to "interfere in the country's internal affairs."

The Foreign Ministry stated that the American side's decision harms China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In response to these actions, sanctions were imposed against seven American military-industrial enterprises.

The countermeasures will affect companies and their top managers, the Foreign Ministry statement emphasized.

It also specifies that the property and assets of those subject to sanctions will be frozen in China.
