China's Foreign Ministry has called on the United States to stop imposing unilateral sanctions on Beijing.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also demanded that Washington stop denigrating China in the context of the Ukrainian crisis.
A representative of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry noted: “We continue to insist on reconciliation, this is our position,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In addition, according to assurances from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Beijing will continue to facilitate the negotiation process.
Earlier, the White House announced that US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan would be visiting China.
Sullivan's visit will take place from August 27 to 29 of this year.
As part of this event, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that the United States must stop “indiscriminately” applying sanctions against Beijing.
The agency added: "Washington should stop smearing us and trying to put pressure on us."
